Don’t Let Your Videos Be Used as Advertisements

The Problem: Companies or individuals can use your videos on YouTube and run them as advertisements for their own benefit. This will artificially inflate your numbers and decrease your watch time for your videos, which negatively affects your analytics and doesn't necessarily put your videos in front of the audience that you want watching them. Also, you don't want others using your videos as advertisements.
Solution: First we’ll check to see if your videos are currently being used then we’ll turn this feature off so moving forward no company can use your content as ads.
Step 1: Go into your Analytics and find the Advanced Mode

Step 3: Find “YouTube Advertising” under the options and look to see if you’re getting views in this category. If so that means your videos are being used as Ads. If this isn’t an option then they’re not being used currently. Change your date from past 28 days to a bigger time period to see if there are views.
